CN - měření kosmického šumu

Metoda detekce šumového signálu v dekametrovém pásmu (cca 30 MHz).  Dominantním zdrojem je Slunce, dále lze najít radiové záblesky Jupitera a také  záření  jádra naší galaxie. Sluneční signál pochází z části zvané koróna a efektivní výška nad slunečním povrchem je dle podmínek mezi 400 000 a 900 000 km. I tato metoda přispívá  k celkovému obrazu aktivity Slunce za každého počasí.
